1.Why manufacturers set an MOQ
A production run requires material preparation, machine setup, cutting, inspection and packing. Standard black products may follow a different minimum from custom colors, molded edges or private-label cartons. 2.Distinguish samples, pilot runs and regular orders
A sample confirms appearance and general construction. A pilot run evaluates production consistency, packing and market response. A regular order is sized for project delivery or replenishment. Each stage has a different purpose, so requesting production pricing for a few loose pieces creates confusion.
3.Design a useful trial order
Choose a limited product family with the best commercial role in your market. Approve the physical sample and written specification first. Include enough quantity to evaluate installation, packaging, handling and customer response, while keeping colors and formats controlled.

4.Check the landed-cost penalty
